What we Believe

We believe in living out our Christian faith in truth and with love. 

We strive to be faithful, committed, enthusiastic, caring, loving and joyful disciples of Jesus Christ.

We believe we should share the good news of Jesus and equip people in their faith journey, helping them to grow and thrive.

Everyone is welcome at The United Church.  Jesus didn't turn anyone away, and neither do we.

                                                                    
We believe in…

• The one true God who lives eternally in three persons—the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit.
• The love, grace, compassion, support, guidance and sovereignty of God in our lives.
• The dignity of all people, and the command to love and care for all His creation.
• God’s eternal Son, the Lord Jesus Christ—born truly divine and truly human. 
• The atoning sacrifice of Christ on the cross: dying in our place, paying the price of our wrongdoings and defeating evil, so reconciling us with God.
• The bodily resurrection of Christ, his ascension to the Father, and his reign and mediation as the only Saviour of the world.
• The ministry of God the Holy Spirit, who unites us with Christ, empowers our discipleship and enables our witness.
