Spring Is Approaching — A Season of New Beginnings
March 1st, 2026, we can feel it, the shift.
The mornings are a little brighter. The air feels lighter. Buds are beginning to appear on trees that looked lifeless just weeks ago.
Spring is approaching.
And while the Bible may not use the word “spring” in the same way we do today, it speaks profoundly about seasons, and the God who governs them.
🌸 1. God Is the Author of Seasons
In Ecclesiastes 3:1 we are reminded:
“To everything there is a season, and a time for every purpose under heaven.”
Spring does not arrive by accident.
It comes because God ordained rhythms into creation.
After the flood, God declared in Genesis 8:22:
“While the earth remains, seedtime and harvest, cold and heat, summer and winter, day and night shall not cease.”
Spring is proof that God keeps His promises.
Winter does not last forever.
🌷 2. Spring Reflects Resurrection
Spring mirrors resurrection.
In winter, the ground appears barren. Trees stand stripped. Fields seem lifeless. Yet beneath the surface, life is quietly preparing to rise again.
This is the story of Easter.
This is the story of hope.
In Song of Solomon 2:11–12, we read:
“See! The winter is past; the rains are over and gone.
Flowers appear on the earth; the season of singing has come.”
What a beautiful image of renewal.
Spring whispers:
The waiting was not wasted.
The pruning was not punishment.
The silence was not absence.
God was working beneath the soil.
🌱 3. Spring Is a Call to Growth
Spring is not only about beauty, it is about growth.
Seeds that were planted months ago begin to sprout. Growth often starts invisibly before it becomes visible.
In Hosea 6:3 it says:
“As surely as the sun rises, He will appear;
He will come to us like the winter rains,
like the spring rains that water the earth.”
Spring rain prepares the ground for fruitfulness.
Spiritually, this season invites us to ask:
What seeds has God planted in my life?
What has He been growing in me during winter?
Am I ready to bloom where I am planted?
🌼 4. From Dormancy to Destiny
Spring reminds us that dormancy is not death.
If this past season has felt cold, heavy, or hidden — take heart. The same God who brings blossoms from bare branches is able to restore hope, joy, vision, and purpose.
Just as the earth awakens, so can faith.
Perhaps this March is your:
Season of healing.
Season of courage.
Season of stepping out.
Season of renewed vision.
The Creator of seasons is also the Restorer of souls.
🌞 A Prayer for This New Season
Lord,
As spring approaches, awaken what has felt dormant in us.
Restore hope where winter felt long.
Water the seeds You have planted.
Give us courage to grow, to bloom, and to trust Your timing.
Remind us that You are faithful in every season.
Amen.
