White and Black Church Prayer Finding God In The Everyday

There are moments in life when God feels incredibly close, during worship, in prayer, or through a powerful testimony. But one of the greatest gifts of our faith is discovering that God is just as present in the quiet, ordinary moments of our week.

In the busyness of life, school runs, work shifts, cooking meals, looking after family, looking after grandchildren, resting... it can be easy to forget that God walks beside us. Yet Scripture reminds us:

“The Lord your God goes with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you.” — Deuteronomy 31:6

This means that even on the days that feel routine, rushed, or tiring, God is near.
He is present in the kindness of a friend, the laughter of a child, the strength to get through a difficult task, and the peace that settles when we pause to breathe and remember Him.

This week, as a church family, we want to encourage you to look for God in the simple places:

✨ In the conversations that lift your spirit
✨ In the moments you feel unexpectedly calm
✨ In opportunities to serve or show kindness
✨ In the strength you didn’t know you had
✨ In the small victories you might overlook

Sometimes the most powerful encounters with God happen not in the spotlight, but in the stillness, the brief moments when we open our hearts and whisper, “Lord, I’m here.”

Psalm 46:10 says, “Be still, and know that I am God.”
Stillness isn’t about silence,  it’s about awareness. Awareness that God is in the room, in your home, in your heart, and in your everyday steps.

As a church, we want to remind you that you are never walking alone.
God is with you, guiding, strengthening, and surrounding you with His love.

May you find Him this week in unexpected places and quiet moments.
May your heart be encouraged, your spirit refreshed, and your faith deepened.

You are seen. You are loved. You are held.
And God is closer than you think.
