🌿 When You Feel Too Far From God

There are moments in our walk with God that many of us don’t talk about enough.

Moments where we feel distant.
Moments where we’ve gone days… maybe even weeks… without opening our Bible or spending time in prayer.

Moments where, instead of running to God, we quietly pull away, because deep down, we feel… guilty.

We start to think:
“Can I really go back now?”
“What will God think of me?”
“I’ve ignored Him… I should have done better.”

And so instead of running towards Him… we stay back.

That's me right now!

💭 But Here’s the Truth

That very feeling, that tug, that hunger, that quiet desire to return
is not condemnation.

It’s invitation.

It is the Holy Spirit gently whispering:

“Come back. I’m still here.”

🤍 Your Hunger Is Proof

If you feel a longing for God…
If something in you is saying “I need to pray” or “I miss being close to Him”…

That is not something to be ashamed of.

That is proof that your relationship with Him is still alive.

God is not standing at a distance, waiting for you to “get it together” before you approach Him.

He is the Father who says:

“Come as you are. Not as you should have been.”

🏠 He Is Always Calling You Home

Sometimes we imagine God as distant when we fall short.
But the truth is, He is closer than ever in those moments.

He is not saying:
“Why did you leave?”

He is saying:
“Come and talk to Me.”
“Lay it all down.”
“Let Me carry what you’ve been holding.”

⚠️ When Relationship Turns Into Religion

This is where many of us get stuck.

We start to treat prayer and Bible reading like a task list:

“I should pray.”
“I need to read.”
“I haven’t done enough.”

And without realising it…
our relationship begins to feel like obligation instead of connection.

But ask yourself:

👉 Is it really a relationship if it’s driven by duty alone?

God is not after performance.
He is after your heart.

He doesn’t want time with you because you feel guilty,
He wants time with you because you want Him.

🌿 Come Back Without Pressure

You don’t need a perfect prayer.
You don’t need a long Bible study.
You don’t need to “earn” your way back.

Start simple.

Sit with Him
Speak honestly
Even say, “God, I don’t know what to say… but I’m here.”

That’s enough.

✨ Final Encouragement

If you’ve been feeling distant…
this is your reminder:

🤍 God has not turned His face from you
🤍 He is not disappointed in your return
🤍 He is not keeping score

He is simply saying:

“I’ve been waiting for you. Let’s talk.”

📖 Scripture to Hold Onto

“Draw near to God, and He will draw near to you.” — James 4:8

🌸 Reflection

Today, don’t run from the feeling.

Lean into it.

Because that gentle nudge in your spirit…
is not rejection.

It’s God calling you back into relationship.
